Mfg. 1850-1851 w/total production of less than 1,000 estimated, 40 cal. percussion revolver w/7 1/8" bbl. & 6 shot cylinder.  Top strap marked Mass. Arms Co. Chicopee Falls, mechanically cylinder rotates & indexes upon cocking w/spotted grey to dark patina overall on metal, brass trigger guard, walnut grips appear original w/typical dents, scratches from age & use. Overall, this is a nice example of a scarce, early American percussion revolver.
